Is yours any better?I am trying to recall the name of a television programme in the early 1950s (about 1953/4 I think).It was on just after 6.00pm (I think).It was a weekday news programme and - now this is the bit I can remember - it had a fun fair carousel at the beginning of each evening's broadcast. The carousel recording was made at Battersea Fun Fair.I have looked at sites that recall old TV programmes to no avail.Have you any idea what I am talking about... Maybe it was the forerunner to Cliff Michelmore's "Tonight"? I think the BBC have old copies of Radio Times you could browse through.-pops- the pair of Scottish singers were Rory & Bobby McGregor; and the calypso singer was... ? [in Town Tonight(?)]If it was the one in Battersea Park I may have ridden on it.Yeah, doug, you and me both..!!That is why I am keen to get more info about the film clip used at the start of the programme who's name I cannot recall.You see, I was on the Carousel at the time of the filming. Which means that you could see me every evening, riding up and down on the horses having the time of my life.I am sure the film clip is somewhere to be found, but where...
