Hb_Kai
they should be aware of what the public will say.Oh there's none of that here.
Dencandy
These days politicians the world over don't seem to care what people think of them, so long as they can get away with whatever nasty activity they are up to. At one time in the UK an MP would have the decency to resign if caught telling lies. Nowadays they get promoted. Few of them seem to have any sense of shame anymore. And it seems to be the same in nearly every country. :(

catgate
Why pick on MP's. They are no better or worse than people in many other walks of life. There is one big difference. The Members of Parliament have completely forgotten/disregarded the fact that they were originally intended as a guard and defence against overbearing rulers...King and Queens. They have finally sidelined the Kings and Queens and have taken on the role of overbearing rulers themselves, completely ignoring the fact that thet were elected by us to look after our interest (and not their own) by utilising our money for our benefit. The others are now what they always have been "sins time immoral". They are mainly con men who are trying to make money by subverting the energies of other and reaping as much of the wealth for themselves as possible. In fact one of the major duties of government is to enact legislation to control the excesses of these people, but good government is a completely foreign concept to our politicians who are in effect running with the hare and hunting with the hounds.Roget's Thesaurus classes "politics" thus:-andsome's "ragman's trumpet is sorely needed.
