Yes, it's my turn (again) to go away for a few days - 2½ weeks, actually.

I will be in Switzerland for 10 days, then on the way back (using Finnair) stay for the weekend in Helsinki.

I may or may not login here every few days, but it is almost certain that I will possibly miss to announce certain software updates. I'll leave this job to you.

Have a lovely holiday.

It's going to be empty around here - Irene isn't back for another week or so either.....

I think between Doug, Andsome, Catgate and AlanHo and one or two others and myself we should be able to keep things hanging in until you ladies get yourselves back. :D

It looks as though there will only be you and me left, Gandalph. rong seems to be keeping his head down, so he must be going too.

Right then catgate, we might as well have a couple of weeks on Penang Island. I've always wanted to go back there since my Army day's. The weathers nice and I'm paying. :D

Although I have already logged in a couple of times over the last two days, let me formally announce that I am now officially back! :(

Good.

I do hope you were well treated by the world at large.

Hopefully you brought back some pictures of them doing it.

I had a particularly good time in Helsinki. Beautiful city, warm weather, nice people, and pretty good food!

A little bit backwards, though - everything is non-smoking, even the hotel rooms! I had to take a room with a balcony in order to avoid to go down outside!

Outside one of the best restaurants in Helsinki I found a group of about 15-20 elderly men, all in tuxedo, smoking their cigars in the street! What are they going to do in winter...?

Anyway, I will post some pictures over the weekend.

Just like the UK.

As it should be. Nothing worse than moving into a hotel room reeking of the last occupants smoking habit.
