AlanHo
If you have put on a lot of weight - or are likely to do so over the Christmas period - you should get yourself a computer chair that will accomodate your extended girth. You need to move fast - they are flying off the shelves. Belatucadrus
Strangely enough in my past life as a buyer for GUS I had to get some operators chairs for shall we say Larger people, you not only need something wide enough you also need to check out the gas lift is up to it. Belatucadrus
I thought I had problems with an XXL office chair, pity the guy who has to refit the plane.
catgate
The poor sod. I wonder if it self inflicted or genetic.Did the plane manage to take off?
Hb_Kai
Rather than making them buying an extra seat, why not fit planes with bigger seats? You can sort of tell what the expression on the guy's face next to him though

Hb_Kai
And also fit an "obese persons sitting area" on the plane? Obviously not with that wording though.
Belatucadrus
The simplest option is just to rename the armrest, from now on to be referred to as the Arse locating bar.

Dencandy
I thought I had problems with an XXL office chair, pity the guy who has to refit the plane.OMG! One half of him is sitting, the other half standing. I hope for the poor chap's sake he wasn't on a long haul flight. Have you seen the width of toilet doors on most passanger planes - how did he manage? :
Belatucadrus
On a more serious note how would everybody get out if things went pear shaped. In a time when rapid evacuation would be paramount for passenger survival, no matter how PC or sympathetic one may feel, his bulk would be an issue. Gandalph
Look on the bright side. If the fuselage was to be breached they could use him as a stopper.
