Tankus
He died 3amSat ,there was 5 of us with him . The Dr had pout him on the path 12 hours with large morphine dosages when he was showing signs on distress,he didn't regain consciousness while on the path , just went in his sleep. The Drs and nurses there were outstanding, no regs about us going down in the middle of the night to the canteen , tea coffee and biscuits whenever we needed it .And the NHS care hes had in the last two years has been outstanding .Minister (welsh methodist) funeral director and crematorium already sorted , been looking at a place to hold our wake , had dinner there today.. seems ideal , better than doing it at home , less stress on my mother . Be a lot of people. Been reading the bible today for applicable psalms ...first time Ive picked one up in 30 years...And some poems ...for the reading ah well ...a peaceful end ....and a merciful release from Parkinson's

Tankus
Thank you for all your reply's ........uh er the "path " mentioned earlier is a medical program for the terminally ill ,(not a religious thing) which allows very high dosages of morphine and decongestants to be given without the authorization of a doctor, so you get them straight away from a ward nurse , when needed.Went back to the hospital last monday for the death certificate for the registrar, The staff there at the hospital are outstanding, they went out of their way to be as helpful as possible. Funerals toward end of next week ...... there is a big backlog because of the weather, and the morgues are all backed up, burials are also delayed due to cancellations. These been a lot of snow down the valleys. Cold has knocked off a lot of old people too . The crem's running hot with no time to cool between services. Be glad when that bit is over. Its all seemingly a bit mechanical/procedural.
