Going AWOL for a while again.

Trying Syria this year. The sun and sand are appealing to us. I'll try to start no fights or arguments, just looking for a quiet little place to chill-out. :beach:

Mrs. El-Ahhbid assures us a quiet time at her Bed-and-Breakfast Gaff.

Although I hardly get in a post in these days, I do love reading your responses to others :lol: . I understand that you will not be posting from Syria as their intenet has been shut down, but do come back and give us the war stories. And remember;

"You need help, here I am!".

God-speed, MANEMAN. Keep the sails at full mast!

VIRGINIA.jpg

Review: By Helen Anders

AMERICAN-STATESMAN STAFF

SYRIA, Va. — For three days, I was embedded in Syria. Not the one in the Middle East, obviously. This Syria is in the peaceful foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge, and it's a perfect jumping-off-point for hiking, driving the Blue Ridge and exploring Civil War battlefields and other northern Virginia attractions. The town has a little general store, a post office and Graves Mountain Lodge, a casual resort that offers 20 houses of different sizes, along with lodge rooms, a motel and a restaurant.

Got the booking wrong, again !

When the travel guy said Middle East, I thought he meant Middle Room facing east and I just nodded my head - D'uh.

Place we're finally at dont seem too bad though. No ham and eggs or bacon in the morning is the only thing. :(

Mrs. El-Ahhbid owns two places here, we just swap to where there is no gunfire at night, so no biggy.

It's miles from the bloody sea !

They seem always to be squabbling here. I take pride in being at the very top of my game as a "Problem Solver" I'm gonna try to "sort things out" later this week.

If the internet stays up, I'll post Y'all again soon.

John.

P.S. - Sun is hot. The three of us have been bitten by fleas. Nana lost her teeth first night here.

Posting this via shoulder mounted satellite through a VPN to my double helix quad enabled home server embedded in the wall of my place at home, and trying to keep a low profile.

I Have posted a guide to Window 8 (001) : http://forums.window...248#entry332228

Hopefully posters questions about W8 will be given this link as it answers questions about Windows 8 as far back as Windows 3

If posters ask questions about the beautiful Windows 8 operating system. please point them in this direction and let them wear out their own shoe leather. http://forums.window...248#entry332228

More technical stuff to be added to this thread soon for those who think of themselves as "Power Users" or "Tech savvy Windows 8 fanboys."

Here it is again in case you missed it: LINK: > http://forums.window...248#entry332228

If anyone should ask a question about Windows 8 (Smart Ass or otherwise) thinking that maybe "Windows Forum" is lagging behind the times they are wrong. (I personally have read and digested every article linked too) as have many others here. - Link them to : http://forums.window...248#entry332228
