A FAIR SOLUTION regarding the Migrant issue?
 
Our rulers - Mrs Merkel and M. Hollande - have demanded that all European countries take their "fair share" of the migrant hordes over-running Europe's apparently unguarded borders.
 
But how do you decide what a "fair share" is? Merkel and Hollande are trying to link the number of migrants to each country's GDP which will ensure Britain gets landed with a large chunk of the flood of human beings pouring into Europe.
 
But why not link the number of refugees each country takes to its population density?
 
Here is how it works out.
 
Europe's most densely populated country is England. England's population density is 414 people per square kilometre. Set this as the benchmark.
 
Now, how many refugees would the main European countries need to take for them to reach the same population density as Europe's most densely populated country – England?
 
To reach the same population density as England (414 people/km2), Germany with a current density of 225 would need to take 67 million migrants, France with a current density of 101 would need to accommodate a whopping 160 million and Spain with a current density of 127 a quantity of 152 million.
 
And best of all, our close neighbours in Scotland with a current density of 67 would have to make room for over 25 million!  That should please Mrs Sturgeon.
 
In all, just thirteen European countries could accommodate more than 680 million migrants before reaching the same population density as England.
 
Well. That seems to solve the problem of deciding how countries should take their "fair share" of the migrant swarm. Using these figures, there's no need for Europe's most densely populated country - England - to take any migrants at all. Our friends in these other countries would need to absorb over 680 million migrants before England would need to open its gates.
  
That seems the most appropriate way to give each country the "fair share" that Merkel and Hollande demand!

 
Yet further evidence for us to vote NO in the coming referendum - just in case the above rulers get their way

your figures are flawed Alan, there are over 65 million in the UK as of 2015, so that means other countries would have to take even more before they invade the UK.

I definitely vote out, we joined the common market which was a trade agreement not to be ruled from Brussels.

And it is strange how the UK is the only country in the EU that seems to abide by there rulings, other countries abide by the rules if it suits them.

I beg to differ - when you get back from Specsavers you will see that I refer specifically to England and not the UK.........I am content to let Scotland, N Ireland and Wales take care of themselves and leave us Englanders alone.....

I don't see the point of a poll - we only have about half a dozen active members............  and some of them aren't  very active anyway.

So far those who have posted their preference are unanimous for us to get OUT.

What people seem to ignore is the fact that the EU (or whatever you want to call it) was not set up for the benefit of the people who live in it, but for the benefit of the politicians and their backers (who rule them).

Heath was largely to blame for much or our mess. I often wonder if  parents were not really married.
