A couple from Kidderminster and a couple from Worcester - hence the Robin Hood restaurant on the edge of Droitwich is a convenient meeting place. Â We all arrived on time having booked the table for 12:00, but the doors were locked. Libby rang the bell and a dishevelled waitress appeared to tell us they were not able to open. When they arrived this morning they found that there was a gas leak in the kitchen and they were not allowed to open to the public. Â So we drove down the road to a local Harvester which I was not optimistic would be OK having experienced some disasters at the Harvester near us. However, I was outvoted and we had our lunch there. Gets pretty good reviews on Google but we haven't tried it or The Purdiswell in Worcester yet. Weird thing is that as we'd been shopping in Droitwich, I did briefly consider going to the Robin Hood yesterday, but as I said the sun was out and Mum does like eating in the Holt Fleet conservatory on a reasonable day. So we didn't bother, looks like it was just as well. Â As to what we're eating today depends on the Installation engineer, the new oven is due this afternoon. We had a nice round table for the six of us which had a lazy susan set in the middle for the condiments etc. The ladies were highly amused.  I would not call it salubrious but no worse than many other chain restaurants. The waiters were run off their feet because about 25 customers descended on them all at the same time from the Robin Hood. We were lucky to be the first group to get there.  Everyone enjoyed their food - I had a freshly cooked rotisserie chicken, cooked just right which came with fries, a tiny ramekin of shredded salad and half a corn cobb. I declined the gravy which is listed as standard on the menu.  Three of the party had fish and chips - a very large cod in nice batter. One had sweet potato fries the others normal ones.  The other 2 had chicken in various guises which they all claim to have enjoyed.  We will probably go back there in future, in lieu of the Robin Hood - because of the significant cost saving and the much wider menu choices.  Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Â The chops are properly butchered, not those awful things cut with an industrial band/chainsaw and which are smothered in tiny bone fragments.
