Always Keep a Black Pudding Handy

Something definitely wrong with this tale.

Although Elf & Safety continually gets a bad press, they do come up with some sensible rules and regulations - one is that a walk-in freezer/refrigerator should only be walked into if there is at least one other person on the premises who can facilitate a rescue if things go wrong. In addition to that, the mechanism for opening the door of a walk-in freezer should be a large long handled lever, not a piddly little green button, with a marked similarity to a giant Smartie, hidden by shelving.

A visit from the Health & Safety Executive is long overdue, I feel or perhaps the butcher is just overstocked with black puddings and needs publicity to get rid of them.

I'm happy to believe it, particularly as there's a picture of the unit in question HERE I have to say that the outside of the unit doesn't look that well maintained with significant amounts of moss algae and crap on the door seal and the inside of the door doesn't look any cleaner than the outside. Hygienic isn't a word that springs to mind, if I'd been on his client list I'd be a bit concerned.
