Guest Shirley_Crabtree
hehe, no offense, you can't be serious: the entire civilized world witnessed America's amazing accomplishment, LOL -- and where did those billions of dollars go that were spent on moon research? for a hoax? C'mon, gimme a break. Again, no offense, but such speculation is absurd: accept it, America went to the moon and could do it again if they wanted to expend the manpower and effort. But the Cold War that spawned the Space Race is over, and there is no longer any political will nor motivation to go to the moon: been there, done that. :) ;)But isn't that the point about all this....the lengths to which America would go to prove itself a superior nation to the rest of the world?I've seen the conspiracy programs on TV,the ones where modern scientists state that the "astronauts" would have been killed by radiation from the sun if they had done what they said they had wearing the equipment available at the time. The ones which show stills of 4 point light-sources in the footage, when the only real light source would've been from 1 point...the sun!Meh,I don't really know! All I do know is that the good ol' folks of the US were desperate to be seen as the first in the space race to have men walk on the moon.I'm sure if it could've been done then,it'd be a regular occurance nowadays....but it isn't is it?HOAX!Cheers.Shirl. Guest northamuk
Lindbergh didn't fly the Atlantic, he and his plane "Spirit of St. Louis" were Transported aboard a Spceship (captured and held in Area 51). 10 miles from Ireland he was released and the Myth began. The Titanic didn't sink it was a victim of Bubonic Plague and was taken by the US Navy to Guantanamo Bay where all the Passengers and crew were quarantined. and the ship was cut up into small pieces which were sold as genuine souvenirs of Atlantis !
Guest moon
There's a guy at the Pit named 'star' who works for NASA at the launch pad. If you really have any serious doubts, go ask him. He works on the shuttle and he's just back posting again after the disaster. He's probably got his sense of humour back by now.
Scarthy © ® ™
Won't star have had to sign a 'confidentiality clause' if he works for NASA???I don't believe it anyway, look what they did to JFK !I am also scepticle about the 9/11 incident - Do a search on Google for "911 conspiracy" - Some are not that hard to believe... ;)

Sir T Fireball
HoaxToo many 'iffy' bits to take the landing as gospel. The US was just desperate enough at the time to try a bluff like this. The race with the Reds was quite the thing and the pressure on them to land was immense. As for 'it must be true because the whole world watched it on TV'....We also saw Mr Copperfield make an elephant vanish on TV. In fact, I'd suggest many of Mr Copperfields' tricks are harder to pull off as they are usually performed in front of a live audience. CurlyWhirly
Sir T Fireball, nice link there. I have always had my doubts abut the moon landings and after reading your link, my doubts are now greater than ever! I read that the Lunar Module used to be called the 'tissue paper ship' as it was so thin that you could punch your fist through it :o How can a thin lunar module wall protect you from the extreme heat and cold of space not to mention the solar radiation  The moon has no atmosphere and therefore no protection like we have on Earth with the ozone layer! I am deeply sceptical.
Belatucadrus
For some serious reading on the moon landings Clavius and Moon Hoax facts last ones a pdf. The last TV program I saw on the issue looked at all the supposed proofs of hoaxing and ripped them all to shreds. Yet the purveyors of the hoax theories were impervious to logic or fact, so entrenched were they in their own agenda. Good science is to study the facts then come up with a theory and amend if and when necessary. Bad science is to have an idea and then look only at anything that supports it, blindly ignoring or trying to discredit anything that doesn't fit. CurlyWhirly
Belatucadrus, after studying your 2 links, I am now in 2 minds whether the Moon hoax was a hoax after all  I will now put myself in the position of not knowing one way or the other!
