I won't be able to annoy you all for a few days from after lunch tomorrow. We are going to Richmond in North Yorkshire for a few days with four other couples, renting a very large cottage with five en-suite bedrooms. It will be a chance to visit some National Trust sites. We are also having an evening at the Richmond Playhouse. Be good while I'm away. You can still look at my picture if you miss me.

Thanks folks. I have a crown green bowls match this morning, then we set off after lunch. My son is putting us up in Batley over night, then we continue to Richmond on Monday morning, and return on Friday morning. Thanks for the link to Beamish, I will show 'er indoors before I shut the computer down.

Back again to torment you all. We had a lovely time, in what must be one of the most beautiful parts of the country. We went to the old Georgian theatre on Wednesday in Richmond, and saw The merchant of Venice. Funnily enough, much to my surprise I quite enjoyed it. It is I believe the smallest theatre in the country, and seats 212 people. The stage is larger than the auditorium.

Thanks all. For anyone who has never visited Richmond, I can highly recommend it, it really is in just about the most beautiful area of the country you could wish for. You can have a great few days short break there, with plenty of places to visit.
