deuces wild
I would urge all the UK forum members who supported owning axes to reconsider their support, after yet another axe murder in the UK:A man has died after being attacked with an axe in a wealthy London suburb.Officers found a man, armed with an axe or hatchet, standing over a body in Eton Avenue, Swiss Cottage, north-west London, at about 0940 GMT on Monday.Police said the victim, a 67-year-old man who lived locally, had suffered severe head injuries.Detectives say it is unlikely to have been a random incident. A 37-year-old man from the Camden area was arrested near the scene of the attack.Police said they are trying to establish if the men knew each other.http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4347919.stmWhen will the insanity stop?? We need to ban ownership and possession of all axes now!

nellie2
I would agree with you Deuces... unless you are innundated with trees to chop down... what does anyone need an axe for?
deuces wild
I also think that the knife owning advocates in the UK should also reconsider their position on knife ownership:Father-of-two Ernest Meads, 58, a masonry expert from Enfield, was one of six people stabbed across north London on Thursday morning. The attacks were carried out by a man in a red car during an hour in a six-mile radius of Edmonton and Haringey, police said.Detectives are continuing to question a 29-year-old man, who police say has a history of mental illness.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england...don/4122913.stmImagine that....a history of mental illness. :Pedit sp
catgate
It is not long since a woman in York was murdered by being strangled by someone using her own hair towel. I said at the time that owning any towel, and a hair towel in particular, should be made illegal. Shortly after that a girl in her early twenties was murdered by an intruder by drowning her in her own bath water. Again I suggested that it should be made illegal to have water in a bath. Baths should be used for keeping the coal in, as God intended. So to be safe I am going to recommend making it illegal to own either a bath or water and immediate excommunication and exile for anyone owning both. I would have suggested the death penalty but people would think I was just being silly.
deuces wild
I urge that those in the UK who support hammer ownership reconsider their position:A hammer-wielding robber attacked a man in his 60s as he tried to deposit money at a bank in Northern Ireland. The victim was beaten around the head and kicked to the ground by the thief on the Monkstown Road in Newtownabbey, near Belfast.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england...don/4122913.stm

catgate
perhaps we should ban guns as wellPerhaps we should make it illegal to be a teenager. We could pass laws that permitted women only to give birth to children of 21 and over.

Gandalph
Is it against the law to own knitting needles. My wife has several pairs. They could be classed as lethal weapons as they could kill someone if used in the right place. :ninja:
joysness
It is against the law to take knitting needles on planes now. You can pack them in your checked baggage but not into the cabin due to the terrorist threat

pwp
i can see a need for knives in the home and baseball bats (used by americans to play rounders)but i can't think of any reason why anyone requires a gun it has no purposeunless you intend to kill with it. catgate
I do find it worrying that the potential for something to happen is taken as an almost certainty that it will, and therefore powerful preventive legislation is necessary. Most rapes are carried out by men who carry a penis around with them, secreted under their clothing. Most of these men appear quite sane and normal. It is quite obvious therefore that all men should have their reproductive organs removed or be subjected to drugging for life. That would make the world a better place. Most troubles in the world are caused by politicians with defective mentality, but who most of the time appear nearer sane than is actually the case. We should therefore incarcerate all politicians. (I can hear a cheer going up as I type)edit ....spelling

Alot of older people attacks recently over here at least. Although I know someone who climbed last year Mt. Kilamanjaro and would be quite funny to see someone attack him lol. I am 15 and have a hammer stanley knife screwdrivers axe knife you name it and have acess to a chainsaw hedge clippers and one of those industrial chippers the mafia use to discard of bodies to feed to the pigs (anyone seen snatch). But I would not use them as weapons against an innocent person who did nothing to me. Im not a violent or abusive (much) teen and think those like in the quote above are extremely cowardly. I recently went ice skating with mates and forgot I had a stanley knife and screwdrivers in my pocket. I would not and had no intention of using them violently except for a carpet and screws. But if I was stopped by the police or a bouncer they would be confiscated as ofensive weapons. Fair enough as they have the potential. Anyone disagree. Deuces do you think they should ban guns in the us or that everyone else should just let you guys get on with it ( I noticed a pattern In your first few posts of the topic looked familiar against yanks&guns v world lol ) :Dp.s just seen the rape post ( no offence ) by catgate. Do you think the penalty for rape should be the persecutor of this action should have the murder weapon confiscated preferably by means of the meat cleaver in rebels post?
