I have had German cars (& motorcycles) for the last 20 years and have found them to be screwed together better, and be more trouble free, than other European cars (& motorcycles). That having been said, since Benz sold out to "them over the pond", things have worsened. My previous one (a Merc.C220D) was fitted with a Lucas injector pump made in France...need I say more. But could flog off the family silver and pocket a nice cash bonus.
