He discarded the whole computer.Mr. Tucker, an Internet industry executive who holds a Ph.D. in computer science, decided that rather than take the time to remove the offending software, he would spend $400 on a new machine.He is not alone in his surrender in the face of growing legions of digital pests, not only adware and spyware but computer viruses and other Internet-borne infections as well. Belatucadrus Posted July 17, 2005 Report Share Posted July 17, 2005 Minus points for supposed knowledgeable computer type not taking effective precautions to keep spy ware out.Additional minus points for insecure disposal method, unless -pops- is right and there simply wasn't anything of any importance on the drive.Plus point for replacing it with cheap laptop and not the latest top end notepad.
