BTW, isn't the rule to have decorations down BY twelfth night not ON twelfth night?

That's interesting. My dear old mother used to claim that to be the case. Whereas management claims she was brought up in the belief that it was ON twelfth night. The result is we don't put decorations up!!

Thos.

Who cares? Please yourself, surely you are not superstitious?

No. I am not superstitious. It was an observation on catgate's original post and Gandalph's subsequent reply.

Take down on 12th night...or else

The controversy always seems to be which IS 12th night. I say 6th Jan.

Any other suggestions?

Bing, bing, bing, bing............Give that lady a cigar!

January 6th, the Epiphany or 3 Kings day. The last "official" day of the Christmas season.

BTW: Welcome aboard Pushkin.
