andsome
Just how pathetic can people get? It's bad enough that garbage like this is put onto the television, but what kind of mentality do people have, who actually watch and claim to enjoy it? UTTER GARBAGE
bvw
I've never watched it.After seeing some of the scenes on the News I don't want to either.
deuces wild
I have never heard of it. I don't think it is aired here in the States and I would not watch it even if it was.
Watchful
Only watched the opening programme and that was too much!I agree, complete rubbish
andsome
I find it irritating that the media pay so much attention to this crap. A rather thick waisted dolly bird received more that her fair share of TV coverage this morning because she was pronounced winner. We turned the news off after a few minutes of it. trackrat
I personally have never watched any of the big brother series, but there must be a demand for them otherwise the plug would have been pulled on the series long ago.Although andsome you say it is utter garbage there are a few million viewers who would disagree with you. andsome
I feel sorry for people who enjoy watching other people make absolute idiots of themselves, and how the hell can anyone find pleasure in watching an idiot vomit? Thos
I feel sorry for people who enjoy watching other people make absolute idiots of themselves, and how the hell can anyone find pleasure in watching an idiot vomit?I think a sense of balance is called for. Parts of the programme are pathetic, parts are toe-curling embarrassing and parts very funny. It can be interesting to watch the reactions of different types of individuals to situations in a closed environment. Don't watch it if you don't want to but respect other peoples desire to switch on and get pleasure even from things you dislike.Thos. AlanHo
I entirely agree with Thos - it may not be everyone's cup of tea but the programme gives millions of people great pleasure.I have seen some of it and it was a mixture of cringe making TV and fascinating interaction between a diverse family of people. Some of the stuff was hilarious - even when the house mates were verbally sparring.I don't go out of my way to watch the programme - but if friends want to see it that is quite alright by me and I don't condemn them for getting harmless fun. andsome
I am not the sort than gets up petitions to ban anything. I just cannot understand how anyone can see anything comical in it at all. Just the excerpts on the news of Galloway prancing around in pink and grovelling at someones feet pretending to be a cat were enough to make anyone feel ill. Thos
WHY?The millions watch it presumably because they enjoy it. I guess they enjoy it because the participants are cleverly put together and, as I said earlier, it is a mixture of being pathetic, embarrassing and funny as well as being competitive with the audience being given an opportunity to participate by voting against anyone they dislike.Thos. -pops-
I didn't watch the programme but I find today we have, at last, a modern definition of "A CELEBRITY".A celebrity is a brainless, airhead, foul-mouthed bimbo with long blonde flowing hair with a VERY limited vocabulary who thinks that Dundee is in Wales and doesn't know what a gynaecologist is. In addition, the being is completely talent-free and is unable to provide anything other than their existence on the planet to qualify their CELEBRITY status.Bunkum! Please note that the term "bimbo" applies equally to all sexes but perhaps "himbo" could be more appropriate to the male version - of which, I understand, there was also an example on this fatuous programme. Is it also correct that there was some huge bosomed bint on the thing who claimed to be a vegetarian but didn't eat vegetables? dadyassa
Yeah, but apart from a charity getting money it wouldn`t of had, the blonde airhead now knows that Dundee is not in Wales, and what a gynaecologist is, and given me and millions of others a laugh, so it has done some good. ;) ;)

The bimbo you refer to above was not "A CELEBRITY" but an Essex girl who was charged to pretend to be a celeb, thus riotousy sending up the whole notion of celebrity. She was not particularly foul-mouthed either and she would cheerfully concede that she was talent-free.B. The bint referred to was a so-called celeb who was ribbed mercilessly for being a vegetarian (she did eat veg) and for disliking the wearing of fur. She was foul-mouthed, big chested and a topless model. Funny how the toplessnees is often accepted, not least by members of this forum!Thos. Belatucadrus
Just the excerpts on the news of Galloway prancing around in pink and grovelling at someone's feet pretending to be a cat were enough to make anyone feel ill. This may be enough to justify the entire BB phenomenon. Just think constituents of Tower hamlets you could have voted for Oona King again, but you chose the cigar chewing twit who'd chooses to be incommunicado and lock himself away in a TV show for sad ex celebs while making a complete prat of himself rather than represent your interests in the house.:Blond-Moment:
r4may
Never watched any of these shows, channel change or OFF switch the moment they appear.Just think constituents of Tower hamlets you could have voted for Oona King again, but you chose the cigar chewing twit who'd chooses to be incommunicado and lock himself away in a TV show for sad ex celebs while making a complete prat of himself rather than represent your interests in the house. What makes you think that MP's represent your interests any where. ???. They are only interested in the people when they want their vote.
joysness
What I find amusing is, they call it "reality".What I find sad is, so many people believe it. :( For me, if that's reality, I'll happily remain in my little fantasy world. :P
AlanHo
What I find interesting is that the people who condemn Big Brother spend more time discussing it than those who have enjoyed the program. This must indicate that they are more interested in it (even to slag it) than those who have had pleasure from watching it t the time.If the producers aim was to attract the interest of as many people as possible - they have surely succeeded.
