Extremely slow

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

Just spotted this thread, at the momen everything seems to be fine.

The server resources are at normal levels, so as Chris has pointed out, it is either a problem local to yourself, or a network issue within the datacentre.

The datacentre itself is in the process of upgrading the network, so it could be related to them implementing new technology, but who knows!

I am having slowness and occasionals cessation, and for a time I suspected it was either Onetel or my machine, but it looks as though I can add a third possibility. One thing that makes me think itis not totally WFD is that I sometimes get a similar thing with email receipt.

I think it is all down to the "reliability" of modern technology.

In this last few days I have had a four year old dial type tyre gauge go pop. A music centre that was about six years old that had to be ditched because I could not get new drive belts for the twin tape decks, and a four year old Swan cordless kettle that started leaking into the electrics. I could not get a seal for the kettle, but luckily had a box of O rings that saved another candidate from the wheelie bin .
