andsome Posted April 21, 2006 Report Share Posted April 21, 2006 Thatcher without a shadow of doubt did a great job during her earlier years. Unfortunately like so many others, she let power go to her head, and thought that she was the only one with any ideas as to what was best for the country, much like the present PM. She inherited an absolute mess from the previous Labour administration, and did a great job until she lost her way. In the last election that she fought I DID NOT vote for her, because unlike some others I can acknowledge mistakes from all sides. It is a sad fact that almost all politicians loose their way in this fashion. Power is the great corrupter. On News Night last night there was a discussion session, with 10 people who voted Labour at the last election, 10 who voted Tory, and 8 who voted Lib/Dem. When asked for their opinion on each of the party leaders, EVERY SINGLE PERSON, Labour Lib/Dem and Tory, called B'liar a liar. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a link.
