I was just having a think about forum members who we don't see any more for one reason or another. :(

TimeforaBeer who sadly left this mortal coil

Ellas... he was fun :)

Mr Invincible Mouse .... must have found a nice lady mouse.

Moon... he just wandered off one day

Northamuk ... he was fun too.

Christmas Cracker, she still pops in from time to time as does a few others. Monkey was here at Christmas time... he always used to have me in stitches especially when he and Ellas got a dialogue going. :D :D

There's Hurdy...he hasn't been on for a while,

Poppy...only poppies in and out occasionally, :D

There are a few others that are missing but can't think of their names off hand at the mo.

Sorry to read Timeforabeer had departed for that great server in the sky though. :(

What was the name of the artist chap who lived in Lincolnshire? He has not been around for ages. Nor as my old incomprehensible favourite Drovers Dog. He was as good as a crossword puzzle.

That was Moon - alive and well on the Pit. - Aso DD - mostly in Sit T's forum though - seems to have found his niche there........

No signs of Hurdy anywhere though

Popeye - another - where is he?

Andy-2004 last posted 18th Jan. Hurdy 30th April. Just trawled through over 200 pages of members, and it is surprising how many hundreds of people join and NEVER post at all. I wonder why they bother.

I remember Madboy33 and someone named 'andsome' who gave me some advice about 4 years ago on PCA  Wonder what he's doing now?

Reading through this lot.

Why do they have to post to join? I Have been a member for ages and when on dial up I hardly posted at all unless I could help someone, which was rare. Reading the posts hear I have learnt allot, plus building my own PC and maintaining it. So should I have left in the early years or is it not ok to browse the forums as a member thus supporting WF.

It's perfectly ok to browse without joining... it's a free country and it's a free internet. Sometimes people join because there is a board function that they wish to use that isn't available to a guest.. searching the forum or checking out the member list or sending a PM to someone.

Some people are shy.

FUNNY, but I don't recall having said that you HAD to post to join. As has been said, the forum is here for anyone to read. I just find it personally puzzling as to why several hundred people have taken the trouble to fill fill out a registration, then not bother to join in. I visit many forums, but do not register unless I want to post. Merely a personal observation.
