sapins Posted September 12, 2006 Report Share Posted September 12, 2006 A few years back we lived on the edge of the Sussex Downs and our next door neighbour told us an adult greyhound was wandering about, all efforts to catch it, leaving food etc; failed so I telephoned the RSPCA and told them this adult greyhound was running loose, to be told,"You catch it and we'll come and collect it"!!! Both Michael Foot and Neil Kinnock were excellent orators, in my view anyway disregarding whether you agree with the content of their speeches, and as such the listening public attributed qualities of leadership to them. Others, who may not be orators, get overlooked. It is necessary as a leader to be able to get your point of view across but rabble rousers do not always make good leaders.I was watching Bob Crow, the transport workers chief, at the TUC conference yesterday. Not really any different than the rest of the world, it's just that we are more likely to come up against them.Back on the topic what about "Sorry Sir we stopped selling those because there wasn't any demand for them, there aught to be a sign up for all the requests we get"!
