Some of those are WLM and Live Mail.lately ive been wondering about changing from MSN to WLM and Hotmail to Live Mail.Live mail offers much more options, but is rated very bad by people who used it...i'm never going to change to Live Mail, before i know its very goodbut here come my two poll questions:which do you like better:MSN or WLM?andHotmail or Live Mail?and here is my personal question:should i move on to WLM? note1: i love the MSN GUInote2: the MSN supported was ended as soon as the WLM was releasednote3: i have seen some WLM tweaks to make it work exactly how you want itbut i would like to know which you prefer and please tell why you do so.thanksbtw: i know all of these products come from Microsoft Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

rong Posted February 22, 2007 Report Share Posted February 22, 2007 I may be wrong but I think that Windows Live Messenger is/was MSN Messenger, as I used to have MSN Messenger and on an update it changed to Windows Live Messenger, it's not Windows Messenger. Lamb Chop Posted February 23, 2007 Report Share Posted February 23, 2007 :( I use UK Hotmail to email my sister who is over 70 and cant seem to find her way clear to downloading or using any other program like Outlook which she must have as just bought a new tower with XP.I say UK Hotmail because for some reason I cant get her on MSN Hotmail in Australia where I live. She just does not receive it.She did have Incredimail on her old 98 which was her daughter's, but it froze on her she said, which considering no one was running any anti virus nor anti anything, nor was it updated nor its cache cleared, after what 5 years - not surprising.It is functional but boring - must say I am into emoticons add to the flavour of my message :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Seshomaru Samma Posted February 23, 2007 Report Share Posted February 23, 2007 I'm not sure if this is much help but I use MSN at work quite often , we upgraded some of the machines to WLM and .... I can't tell the difference. The interface is somewhat different but I didn't notice any change in functionality or speed. Non of my colleagues could tell the difference as well.As for LiveMail, I never used it , I know several people who upgraded and all are unhappy about it. They have all complined that it makes everything more complex and you have to go through several screens to achieve the simplest task. They are basically the same, but it looks 'cleaner'As for hotmail, I have not used it for years. I have however, tried the Live Mail and found it to be complete garbage.
