I did it....... at last I did it!!

Last year we went on a wonderful cruise with Regent Seven Seas, on Voyager.

On one of the 'days at sea' the Cruise Director decided to entertain us all by skiing behind the ship whilst she was, what I think must have been, full steam ahead!! :D

This is the result of my amateur recording.....

P.S. I think there is a delay before it can be viewed, so bear with it. Check back later! ;)

P.P.S Still doesn't seem to be available! It looks as if it's showing another video with a Voyager refrence.

I have waited a long time to see this and have just waited 5 or six minutes for it to load but it won't get there. I will keep trying though this afternoon.

I am dying to see it.

Thos.

Is Flash up to date? I click onto the link, and it takes exactly six seconds to start to run after the click.

I think that the 'YouTube' website was generally busy. When I saw Thos' post, I tried just bringing up the website from Google, but it wouldn't load.

Must be all clammering to see my video.

I went out for lunch and when I got back full of good food and wine, I am afraid I had a little nap.

However, I have tried again and it loaded immediately.

In the first place, congrats, Irene, for persevering until you succeeded. You have a talent mixed with obstinacy which means you simply won't let go. Well done. :flowers:

Secondly, the video itself was great. I would not have believed it possible to water-ski behind a massive cruise liner doing about 20 knots. In case others don't realise the size of Voyager, here is a picture. Irene's suite was, like mine a rear-facing one. hers on deck 10 with a wrap around balcony. Right, Irene?

Now that video has taken the sting out of one of my old chestnuts. The Roman galley master was exhorting the slaves to row across the Mediterranean when he said "Good news and bad news, boys. The good news is that the captain says you can rest on your oars for 5 minutes." What's the bad news, then" said a sweaty. knackered rower.

"After your rest, the captain wants to go water-sking"

Thos.

Thanks very much everyone. :flowers: We really had the most wonderful time on this, for me, 'a cruise of a lifetime'.

Thos included a photo of our fab ship.

Beside the red blob on the following photo was the amazing wrap-around balcony where I was recording from....

P.S. I'm working on Mike for a repeat performance. Not of the skiing, just the holiday would do! B) :beach:

P.P.S. This short video clip is but a miniscule amount of the video footage which I took.

I promise not to bore everyone to the core about the rest..... unless anyone would like me to, of course! ;)
