Irene
Believe me, acquiring a new name is not one of the benefits of marriage! There are a multitude of people and organisations to notify, all that comes with the internet etc. The older you are, the worse it is!! You've done more things, been more places, registered at more entities... etc etc etc

Watchful
I got a new name and address but would have preferred to keep my maiden name hyphenated to my new surname. As they do in Spain.

As they do in Spain.Nothing to stop you, you can call yourself what you like. My daughter kept her maiden name when she married last year, so that our oldest granddaughter would not be the odd one out in the family. She is now Mrs Jones, but is married to Mr Shipp. :D
