Irene
Did the one by the bed last night. ;) The rest had to wait till this morning. Every year we think we've done them all, but there's always one, somewhere, we forget to change!!
catgate
I have, for some years, been trying to work out a scheme to save virtually every one on earth having to go through this ridiculous pantomime twice a year.Only last night did the entire thing slip into place. We need to send up a space shuttle thing twice per year, at the appropriate times. The first to move the sun one hours worth of travel forwards and then the second to move it back again. This could be done at 1.00 am as per doug's instruction because it would be dark and the fire would have gone out.Alternatively we could just say "stuff it" and leave things as great nature ordained. deuces wild
Across the pond we change our clocks till next Sunday, Nov 1st.Wall, car, alarm clock and appliance clocks have to be reset manually. Not a problem as it only has to be done 2x/year. Cell phone, computer and tv receiver boxes reset automatically.

Now that both of us are retired (and I lost my company car) we have a 5 year old (and paid off!!!!) Toyota Highlander as our daily driver and my son's 1998 Chevy Malibu as a backup while he is overseas). No high tech devices in either car but changing the time on them is simple. While we are on the subject of time.............I wonder how many folks stopped wearing wrist watches now that most carry a cell phone that displays very accurate time. I stopped wearing a wrist watch even before I retired for that very reason. I have several nice wrist watches for sale......any buyers?
