XP Picture Resizing

Can anybody advise on this?

I am using XP SP3, and am trying to resize pictures/send via e mail using the following method:-

1 Select Picture and Right Click "Send To"

2 Select from list "Mail Recepricant"

3 Select Resize OK

4 Should get E mail Proforma Page but I get a blank screen.

I am using Yahoo mail

I have a friend who uses this method and it works.

Any ideas on how to solve?

I used to us the M/S picture resizer for XP.

R click on the pics in the documents to resize - there will be a smaller copy in the folder.

Insert the pics in the email.

Probably easier ways but it worked for me.

I have a suspicion that the right click process to send to your Email program only works with Email programs installed on the computer - like Outlook Express, Windows mail, Outlook etc.

It will not work with my Hotmail or Google mail web based systems.

Sending pictures / images by email is anyway not the best method; better make an online album (using Picasa / Picasaweb), then sending the link via email.

That's a very useful tool Seshomaru Samma, and thanks for recommending it.

I used to have it but lost it when I had to reinstall XP last year. It creates a real re-sized image rather than a virtual one which only changes the screen appearance of the image. Programs similar to Picassa (and most computer photography software that comes with cameras) change the screen size but not the actual database size. That's why some pictures that appear to be small can still take a long time to send by email, or can be rejected as being too large.
