And shouldn't this be titled murdered along with another innocent

You are quite right rong - it sounds much better that the USA murdered the evil bastard rather than just killed him. May he and his followers rot in Hell.

What difference will it make, he was only a figurehead, the extremists are still out there.

True but personally I'm glad that justice caught up with him after masterminding the 9/11 attack :(

The UK and especially the US will have to be on watch for terrorist attacks from Al Qaeda.

I think it's the bes way to have done it but it doesn't make it right, if I was to shoot Cameron I would be locked up for life, the fact that I would have saved the probably thousands he will eventually kill would not be taken into account, so the supposed civilised part of the world should not stoop to the level of the terrorists. Also the person being used as a shield being killed just so they can kill another of his aids is way out of order.

I was mildly amused by the forum "Recent Topics Added " section.

Osam Bin Laden KILLED by andsome

The news report said it was American special forces, but we now know different.

I'm unsure what difference his death will make, he may only have been a figurehead but he was a wealthy figurehead and if this cuts some of their funding so much the better.

How on earth can you offer any comparison between the killing of the leader of possibly the worst terrorist organisation in the world, and the democratically elected leader of a country? There was a forty minute gunfight, and we don't know at what stage this butcher was killed. Remember that he had sworn NEVER to be taken alive, and that he would fight to the death. The so called human shield was one of his wives, so she is an accomplice in all the killings organised by her husband. The troops who went in were extremely brave and are to be congratulated. Would you also say that those who made attempts on Hitlers life during world war two would have been criminals and murderers had they succeeded?

how many people has he killed personally?

Ah the Charles Manson defence and yet still a rhetorical question as we don't know I doubt his hands were clean.

As to " After capture " Some reports state he was armed and hiding behind his wife when shot, there had definitely been an exchange of fire during the raid. Reports from Pakistani and US sources contradict each other, I suspect we will learn more.

No matter what happened I can't gather the smallest iota of sympathy for him, his arrogance and total contempt for life earn him the label EVIL in my book and putting him down like the mad dog he was doesn't seem inappropriate.

I don't feel the smallest iota of sympathy for him either and the first report was someone else hiding behind the wife, she still didn't deserve to die though as far as I know we don't imprison the relatives of murderers so for andsome to say "The so called human shield was one of his wives, so she is an accomplice in all the killings organised by her husband" is ludicrous, I think his death at the scene was the best outcome but if as was said he was shot in the head after the fight then it was murder

You don't have to kill someone directly to be guilty, she was an accesory to what he was doing.

This is an empty argument - his wife was NOT killed - just shot in the leg.

Common guys....Who the hell lets the big fish go?

Edit: I was cut off....Damned new security protocol and whatnot....

No one died. If I had the culprit, do you think I would tell you I did? And possibly even where the said offender was held?

Ignorance is bliss. It has definately been a distraction from all the ado from across the pond.

To some...There you have it.

Why are you saying that us guys are common?.......and what on earth are you rambling on about. I am struggling to understand what you are trying to say.

It's a good job your special forces did the job - rather than us Brits. If we had discovered his hide-out we would have sent in the lads trained in the proper application of the Human Rights, Data Protection, Race Relations and Age Discrimination Acts. Their first recourse would be to persuade him to accept that he had been a bad lad and that he should agree to mend his ways - otherwise we would have no choice but to apply for extradition so he could be hauled before one of our judges and given the best legal support funded by legal aid. He would almost certainly be given Bail and housed in a fully furnished rent free mansion on full social benefits to enable his family to join him here in the land of the free. Free in this context means free everything - except free speech if you are a Christian.
