Hey Besty, if I was your gran/gramps I would want to know "what you kids were doing these days". Rather than tell 'em things they won't understand. Show 'em.

They still might not understand, but next time you see them, they are bound to ask you a question about "what you showed 'em on Christmas Day" Try it. It works. (I'm the same age as your gramps)

There is an 80+ year old accross the road to me and she knows how to send an email to her daughter aboard. They love it. And you'll enjoy the relationshipship even more.

You could even take the old fella down to your shed. I am sure he would be pleased to get away from the hubub. If he won't come, ask me and I'll bring a bottle with me!

The Joy of Christmas to you Besty ;)

Just a quick look first thing in the morning, to say merry Christmas. This is the first year ever that the family aren't coming here. My son is abroad on six months holiday. My daughter is in her own house for the first time at Christmas so we are invited over there. We will be on the road by 9am.
