If the UK wants the games, what is wrong with staging them somewhere far less crowded? There are acres and acres of ground which is due for development in the centre of the country, with the hub of the motorway structure and a good airport handy. I have nothing for or against the games coming to the UK, I just cannot understand this fetish with everything having to be held in London. Before anyone points out that this is the capital, my answer to that is SO WHAT. Melbourne is not the capital of Australia, but big events are held there.
