-pops- Posted July 7, 2005 Report Share Posted July 7, 2005 Some French people are very nice - I would say that having worked for a French company for 20 years but, like the English or the British or the (insert any country you wish) some are abominable.The French as a nation are a different thing altogether. It all comes from their leadership - going back, probably to Bonaparte and continuing, unabated, to the present. Some are/were worse than others but, the same attitude prevails. catgate Posted July 7, 2005 Report Share Posted July 7, 2005 If you look at the the history of the French people it is soon apparent that they are as big a bunch of mongrels as we are, and just why they should feel superior to the rest of Europe (and the World) is difficult to understand, unless it is a great big act to hide a national inferiority complex. As pops says they can, as individuals, be quite pleasant, more so if you speak to them in their mother tongue, but as a nation they are revolting. There can be few "civilised" countries in the world as dirty as France (although modern GB is catching up). No matter from which direction you enter it you realise very quickly where you are.
