catgate
It was reported that following 'the wedding' he had gone off with the happy couple to supervise the honeymoon activities, and ensure everything was done properly.
-pops-
I raised this yesterday in the moderators lounge. Very strange for him to not tell us (or ask permission) about going on leave.

andsome
I closed down my computer to let it cool off while I had some lunch. When I returned it would not restart. I tried everything and finally called in a local mobile techie. He found that my second hard drive that I use to store photo's on had suddenly failed, without prior warning, and was stopping my main drive from starting up. He fitted a new hard drive, and at my request made this one the main O.S.drive and the old good one my storage drive. He ghosted the O.S. across to the new drive and all was well. After doing a few operations that I was not happy with I decided on a System Restore. Now here is where I went wrong. I was offered several restore points for that day, or one for the day before. I foolishly chose the day before. Lo and behold the system restored to a time before the drive had anything on it. I would NOT have thought this possible but believe me it is. If in doubt why not try it. :D I had to reinstall Windows.Only that same day I had earlier visited the Norton site to re-subscribe for another year. The info was that I could subscribe for downloads, but that 2003 was no longer eligible for support. This annoyed me somewhat, so I telephoned Nod 32 and asked for an installation CD. I did not have this to hand of course, so could not go on line without protection after my Windows reinstall. I did not want to reinstall Norton of course. I now have Nod 32 installed and it looks good. I have downloaded Sygate firewall, and so far that also looks good. I have paid for a three year subscription to Nod 32, after being reassured on the telephone that as long as my subscription was kept up to date, support was for life. It is nice to know that support if required is available either by e-mail, or at the end of a telephone line.
