Spy Defense Beta runs automatically every day at the same time. I use crap Cleaner at least every three or four days, and RegScrub XP every couple of weeks. All security is kept updated, and checked for updates every day. My AV now is Nod 32 which I like because it automatically checks for updates every few minutes. Nod download updates as soon as they are available, and the program updates at lease once per day, and sometime several times in a day. My firewall is Sygate, and I have NO reason to complain. r4may Posted November 19, 2005 Report Share Posted November 19, 2005 Always running :- Norton Internet Security / Anti Virus and Spy sweeperAfter every Internet disconnection run Crap Cleanerevery two /three days run : Spybot S&D; Adwareevery week run: Spy sweeper Scan; Reg Scrub; a-squared; Norton AV Scan, Malicious Software remover; Win Doctor & Leak test.Check for updates on all programs and all Security patches have been applied correctly.Once a month use online security checks ie Norton security check / Shields up. -pops- Posted November 20, 2005 Report Share Posted November 20, 2005 The best security device of all (in conjunction with the others, of course) is a regularly updated backup.A backup isn't just for safety in case of a drive failure, it can get you out of all sorts of difficulties if you're unfortunate enough to pick up something you would rather not have in your machine.
