andsome
For the last few weeks I have reported problems with various forum facilities. These have not as yet been resolved. I have now formatted my computer and reinstalled Windows XP SP2. This little test will either show up the fact that I had a problem at my end, or that there are indeed some existing problems in my account on the board. The CAPITAL LETTERS HERE will be changed in this order. They will be highlighted, then the font will be changed followed by the size, then B will be clicked Then the Italic I, followed by U for underline, then A will be clicked and red selected. Next I will try to post a link using the little globe above. ALL these functions are things that I have NEVER had bother with until the last few weeks. The link failed. I clicked on the little globe, pasted in the other URL after right clicking the space, then when I clicked OK the window disappeared.
-pops-
This should link to the BBCBBCI didn't right click anything, andsome.I copied the BBC to clipboard (Ctrl C) clicked on the globe link, pasted the clipboard (Ctrl V) into the box where http was highlighted, clicked OK and then typed BBC in place of the "my webpage". Thos
CrosswordThis was achieved by right clicking, then "copy" on the URL, followed by opening the link box, right clicking, then "paste".It seems from the preview to have worked for me.Thos. andsome
The above happens now and then when I click the little globe, but other times a link box will open and allow me to paste in the URL. Then the window vanishes after I have right clicked inside it and pasted the URL and clicked OK. The only way that i can post a link for the few weeks is to right click and past in the body of the message.http://www.google.co.uk/

andsome
As pointed out this is not serious. I have just reinstalled Windows, and this minor glitch is still there. If no one else is getting it then so be it.

Boris
andsomeAfter many hours of experimentation, I have managed to recreate your problem. The cure I believe is very simple. The solution (I think) is .............................Go to My ControlsOptionsBoard Settingsand then in Posting Settings - Type of text editor to use when postingchange your drop-down box setting from (what I expect you have set as) Rich Text Editor to Standard EditorIt works for me ! :)
