I have an award in my shed that was presented to the then chairman of Thames Water by the leading dignatory of Hokkaido, Japan, to prove it :blink: (true, it's a wooden, 5ft long hand carved Salmon with a shiny brass plate :P )I don't see how the whale has much chance of survival because of the sad end those porpoise suffered a few of years back. Shark was one of the "in" fancy foods of the '90s - together with swordfish and marlin (which is just a type of tuna).Remember also that "rock salmon", also known as dogfish or huss, is a type of small shark. I have a feeling that my mother bought our second lot thinking that the first lot was "a bit off". We never had a third lot!Slightly later there was the Snood. We used to have stringy POM too. Me and a couple of pals used to go off camping, and used to take POM and dried eggs and such with us (well you could not buy anything "worthwhile" at little village shops because everything was rationed). The stringiness of our POM we eventually found out was connected with the amount of grass that we always seemed to get into the billy whilst "making it". It was the same with the dried egg omlettes.
