andsome
I can honestly think of no good reason to censure p ussy. True it can be used in another context but so can many other words. Bugger, arse etc all seem to be acceptable so why not another name for a wretched feline creature?

nellie2
It depends which context you are using the word in, as you well know. In this context, the word cat is totally exceptable! :)

andsome
The whole point is that p ussy has a perfectly innocent meaning and also another meaning that we all know well, and is censored. Many other words only have offensive meanings and yet they are allowed. The F word is banned because it has fallen totally into misuse, and is almost always used in a profane way, it was however a perfectly acceptable old English word many years ago. Language has been pointed out to me on many occasions on this forum as constantly changing, when I have drawn attention to the many corruptions which occur today. I particularly object to the word LIKE being inserted hear there and everywhere in a sentence, whether or not it actually belongs there. I disapprove of the misuse of the word Gay, which is a shortened form of a rather attractive female name Gaynor, and also means happy and joyful. What on earth is wrong with using Lesbian or Homosexual? Getting back to the basic discussion, I can see nothing wrong with the word p ussy, even if it can be misused for a replacement word for vagina, or is that banned also, is breast banned, is thigh banned, is penis banned? Where is the line to be drawn?
expertec
Love this discussion!   Personally I say f*** the censorship! :P I think a few certain words, i.e. f***, s***, c**t, etc. should be censored (and replace them with ****), but we should rely on the discretion of the membership and a good moderating team for anything else.
