andsome
No drinks I'm afraid, virtual or otherwise. I should have beaten my opponent easily, but played like a Wally. We were level 8-8 when we started the last end. I was holding shot about 6 inches from the jack, when he tucked a beauty in about three inches behind the jack. So I lost 9-8. I have only myself to blame, I think I was too confident and relaxed.

andsome
It's a funny game. I have beaten some top players and lost to kids. It's all in the mind. My daughter always claims that it best to be positive. I am inclined to disagree. When I won my quarter final match, I really felt that there was no way that I would win, and that the best I could hope for was a decent score. However in this match, I was wondering how big a margin I would win by. It's probably best not to be too confident.

AlanHo
A leading member of our bowling team came into the bar for a quiet drink. He flirted with Artist as usual whilst sitting at the bar - when she noticed he was wearing an earring. She was fascinated by this - the chap was always boasting about his good looks and was known to wear a toupee, but she had never imagined he was the type to wear jewellery.Knowing the chap to be normally a conservative fellow (positively not a socialist), and being curious about his sudden change in "fashion sense." she said "I didn't know you were into earrings.""Don't make such a big deal, it's only an earring," he replied sheepishly."So, really? How long have you been wearing one?""Ever since my wife found it in our bed."
