Panarchy Posted November 17, 2007 Author Report Share Posted November 17, 2007 UPDATE (on my progress so far)Things done;Unpacked the case from the boxInstalled PSUInstalled MotherboardInstalled RAMInstalled thing to do with Zalman CNPS 9700, to do with the motherboard (I haven't yet installed the actual fan)Things left to do;Hook up the case's fans to the motherboard (or whatever)Install the Graphics Card (will be buying it tomorrow, or in an hour)Install the CPUInstall the CPU CoolerInstall the DVD burnerInstall the hard-drive(s)Boot up my computer (wish me luck!Update the BIOSInstall the OS's that I need (and partition the drive)Install the software that I need (including the software included with the DVD burner & motherboard)I feel that I am so close, yet so far away! Alan2273 Posted November 17, 2007 Report Share Posted November 17, 2007 http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/diy-vis...c-Building.htmlAs a tip for next time, it is easier to put the CPU, Heatsink and memory into the motherboard before you put the motherboard in the case.Plus if you add the graphics card you can test it out with the PSU and Monitor hooked up to make sure that part of the build is Ok before you put it in the case.If you do that way make sure that the motherboard is isolated from any metal IE use the plastic bag it came or a piece of cardboard underneath it.
