Murphy's First Law: Nothing is as easy as it looks.
Too true!!

My son gave me a new mobile phone yesterday.

Could I get the back off? Could I hell as like!!

Both my son and daughter did it, no bother. Looked easy when they slid it off. I just could not ~ still cannot ~ move it.

So Murphy, you are spot on!

Why do you want the back off, surely it doesn't need a new battery yet? :D

I've has a mobile for years - don't use it much and when I do It'e me that does the ringing.

I found out yesterday that any incoming call goes straight to text??? I am currently searching for the instructions which have never been needed since it was set up.

Sod's Law - they've been chucked!

I'm on my second mobile and 'Er Indoors has one too. I have found the instructions to be completely incomprehensible. The only way that I have sorted them out is by playing around until I find out how to use it. :D

(I don't have a User Guide)...

My mobile phone's user guide is about 3cm thick. I cannot imagine that they sell a mobile phone without a user guide...

It probably came with a guide when it was delivered.

However, although it has hardly been used, the said guide was nowhere in evidence.

I have just found an 80 page PDF on the internet.

The phone has many things I will probably never use...

MP3 for one.

I have never understood the reason for supplying me with a user guide in 27 languages. I normally only speak English on the 'phone.

It's the same with everything today. Try reading the ingredients etc on an ice cream pack. The predominant languages appear to be Greek and Turkish.

It's a SonyEricsson W580i :D

Apparently the camera in it is a good one.

My current handset is a Samsung E700, but the camera quality in it is not so good ~ maybe an early version of camera phones.

I have a slight problem at present...

My son had the W580i on an O2 contract, but my SIM is a Pay-as-You-Go Orange. When I put my SIM in it says it's the wrong one!! My daughter thinks that it just needs an unlock code to release it from O2.
