He is closely followed by Bruckner, Shostakovitch, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Richard Strauss, Neilson, Berlioz, and many others. What struck me was the size of some of the instruments. My father used to play the banjo (and the violin) and having tried to play I have nothing but admiration for banjo pluckers.But now you mention The Alhambra, I do recollect seeing "Trois and his Mandoliers" there........come back Wilson Keppel and Betty...all is forgiven.
