Help the environment - recycle

I have eventually succumbed to the great pressure on all of us to recycle to the maximum possible extent and have decided to start right here on the forum

In future - all my posts will be compiled from recycled pixels. I will also be recycling the alphabet and numbers - so if some of the letters or numerals start to appear a little ragged - you will know why. It is my aim to gain enough practice to be able to recycle increasing amounts, first individual letters, then words, then whole sentences, leading up to complete paragraphs and ultimately a total post

No longer will I use the Windows command to empty the Recycle Bin - I will carefully re-use the contents in favour of typing new letters or numerals

I have also noticed that the forum smilies are being rather wastefully used. From now on, if I want to post a sad smilie with a turned-down mouth - I will re-use a happy one upside down

You may have noticed that there are no full stops at the end of the paragraphs in this post - this is another saving

There must be many other savings which we can make and I would welcome your (polite) suggestions

Hence - when you are tempted to respond to a future post with "Its bin on 'ere before" - just remember that it is all part of the plan to help the environment by recycling

Some of you guys and gals could well benefit from emulating me.

An excellent idea Alan. I think I will start by not using hyphens , this will save 1 bit between words which can be saved then shared out among the other forum members. As a second move Icouldtryandstopputtingspacesinbetweenwords.Thiswillleadtomorebitsbeingsaved, and

,probablystopusingcommasandfullstops.

I tried to save the environment by deleting my obsolete postings and recycling valuable server space, but some people seemed to find that my removal of irrelevant comments from expired and unread threads was in some way scary or threatening and the delete post button vanished.

I'm using green recycled text as it's more energy efficient.

It's a total waste of effort saving spaces. The universe is comprised mainly of space - it is abundant - and there is no point in trying to save any. What are you going to do with all the bits of space you save - other than to add it to the space already out there.

Remember the first law of physics - space can neither be created nor destroyed. This means it can only be moved from place to place.

Sorry to spoil your illusions chaps - but in this regard you have wasted your time and space in posting.

Doug has the right idea about capital letters though - andsome could learn a lot from doug

You will note that this post is in a shade of grey - this is because it is easier to recycle light things than dense ones - and this applies to pixels.

.

pops - we should all be most grateful to you for posting all that free space. i don't know where you got it from but doug, gandalph, catgate and andsome no longer have any excuse for leaving spaces out of their text - you have supplied enough to keep them all going for a long time

you have a reputation here for being unselfish and generous with your advice - now greatly enhanced with your generous donation of free space

by the way - if I wanted to back-up some spare space in the event that my present space got corrupted - would acronis handle it and how much space would it take up on my external hard drive? would I be able to compress it?

apologies to grammar purists that my sentences do not start with capital letters - but there is a shortage for obvious reasons.

OMG. is there no escape from this? :0

We need artist back to sort you lot out!!

I sincerely hope she won't be long returning to the fold.

i have little doubt that artist will be very understanding and supportive - it is a well known fact that creative people have the greatest empathy with recycling issues

by the way - from where did you get the capital letters in your post now there is a shortage - under the counter no doubt. typical...... hmmmpfff..........

There was this character who had two cases, and I got it from the upper one. :D

shouldn'tyouallbeusingasmallertype?

I agree with you in principle - but there is a problem.

It has been extremely rare to see postings to the forum in small type - hence it is not easy to find characters and text in the smaller sizes to recycle.

I don't know where you got your small text from - it looks as though you scraped it off an old rubbish heap because it is green with mould.
