HAPPY BIRTHDAY - DOUG!

Well today has been a bit so so. Wife has been under the weather - vertigo. So for the last 2 weeks I've been on bucket and steriliser duty, she has had 7 bouts in this period - they are becoming more and more frequent with no pattern at all. last bout was last night - 4 hours of it. Many calls to out-of-hours GP which usually result in her having a jab to suppress the vomiting. We're hanging in there hoping things will hold until she can see a specialist on April 11th, can't get an earlier appointment before then. Her Neuro' consultant is frequently on the 'phone advising plenty of rest! to minimise any possibility of an MS flare up. She is so weak she can't do any exertion anyway. would have been a good day as we Had No.1 G'son for the usual 24 hours - had to cancel last weeks session because she was so bad. also everyone had to be Samsoned by a hair dresser who visits as Anne can no longer manage the stairs at her usual barber's. So this pm we had No.2 daughter, No.1 and 2 G'daughters No.2 daughter, Anne and me being coiffured. Wonderful to see the youngest ones digging up our flower borders and piling all the soil on my freshly mown lawn in the warm sun. They had a whale of a time. Hoping things settle before Sat. night when we will have a family for a "'phone the local Chinese for a delivery to your door" saves me doing the preparation and clearing up.

Could be a good couple of days. No.1 daughter, hubby and No.1 G'son will be staying over night - they live way over on the coast in Sunderland. They had been staying with us for 5 weeks while their kitchen was being ripped and and part of their house re-built. Chris - No.1 Son-in-law has been building a water rocket based on plans he has gleaned from a NASA website, so on Sunday it will be a full system launch and test including the parachute. We had had great fun making compressed air rockets while they were here. Using my digi camera with video capability these were being launched with an initial velocity of 68 mph! these were made out of ordinary sheets of paper - get 2 per A4 sheet and Sellotape very economic considering the strong winds and excellent neighbours. Will report on progress! Also No.2 daughter will be there together with No.1 and No.2 G'daughters and hubby will be there but they only live next door in chester-le-Street.
