How is every body enjoying the snow where you are. I cheesed off with the stuff up here. I have had to dig my way out every morning for five day's now.

Here's a piccie of my wheelie bin in the back garden. The local Weather centre has put a warning out for 40 - 50 cm of the damned stuff to come down tonight. :(

A mere sprinkle round here, but it's bloody cold. It started the day off at 8 a.m. at minus 9. The highest today has been minus 2, and it is currently at minus 4. We had a lovely walk in sunny Burntwood earlier. There is an area of the national forest planted a few years ago. My new electric gloves kept the dreaded Reynard's at bay.:)

Crikey that's quite a lot of snow you have there :0

We've only had 2 inches of snow here.

Blizzards are forecast from tuesday onwards

Watch you don't get a shock

On a more serious note, I've not heard of electric gloves only heated gloves like motorcyclists wear in cold weather.

Is this what you are referring to and if so where do you plug them in or are they battery operated ?

Starting to get a bit dishuffed with it. Hadn't intended to take up snow shovbelling as a pastime this winter but am just in the process of digging myself out fo the forth time since last Thurs. fortunately, or otherwise I have a big drive - 120 ft x 50 and I have to clear the lot to get the car out. Starting to get messages from daughters about school closures, am already on schedule to collect the youngest for 3 pm. Must be the time of year or Global warming or summat.

Welcome to the club Doug. The schools have been closed since last Monday up here. The buses come in from all over the Borders to get the kid's here in Duns. The roads around here are not the best in the World in the summer, very narrow and twisty. The local education committee called it a day for fear of the kid's safety.

Hello Rebel, long time no see!

It's been doing that here for the last three nights and it just stopped about ten minutes ago. Seemed to be travelling East to West.
