Ten things that I'd like to disappear in my lifetime

Social media sites. Untold millions of man hours lost exchanging irrelevant thoughts with “Friends” you’ve never met and wouldn’t give the time of day to if you did. Me Twitter not now not ever.

The speed camera as a revenue tool. I have a dream one day we will live in a world where Gatsos are used only in appropriate places for road safety reasons, not so some licensed bandit can screw you by laying an ambush solely to fill council coffers.

Car crash TV. Jeremy Kyle and his ilk with their appalling bear pit TV, putting the inadequate in a spotlight and poking them with a stick. I like to think of us as being in a civilised society, this crap makes me wonder.

Judges who think the human rights of terrorists and murderers outweigh the rights of the indigenous population. Such appalling lack of judgement should qualify them for the care in the community program and preclude them from ever being in a position where Judgement is required ever again.

Assault rifles. One day the NRA will have a revelation and realise that they and the American people in general don’t need military grade weapons to hunt with . This sudden rush of enlightened common sense comes with a mass hand in of weapons and the death rate from gun crime plummets.

The Citroen 2CV. What more can I say the tin snail must die.

Spam, as in pointless viagr/-\ ads not the tinned meat. New technology must be created that hacks back to the originator and causes permanent sexual dysfunction thus saving the world from any potential second generation. This should of course be publicised so that nobody buys their anonymous product as they’re too busy laughing.

Child abuse. If there is a god and I don’t much care which one, any denomination will do, stop pissing about and SMITE THEM !!!

Religious fundamentalism combined with bigoted stupidity. Why is it that religions that are supposed to be based on love are so attractive to cretins with closed minds and hearts full of hate ? ( Two god related points together, must be going soft time to get secular again )

Text speak and any verbal shorthand using the word “init”. Bring back the Queen/Kings (delete as appropriate) English. So much trouble would be prevented if people could just express themselves coherently and avoid talking gibberish, now wat ah meen ?

The 'Elf 'n Safety brigade

The 'Uman rights act

The ongoing activities of the thought police and the non-PC brigade

Tolerance of Religious fundamentalism

Celebrity worship

Bankers bonuses

Russell Brand, Jonathan Ross, Stephen Fry and their ilk

Baby on Board signs in the rear window of cars

Litter, chewing gum and spitting in the street - oh - and dog poo.

The State Benefits culture

The House of Lords

Mosques (until Saudi Arabia allows churches)

Revert to sensible licensing hours

Cushy prisons and soft sentencing for serious crimes.

Coalition government

EU membership

Odd that because I have always felt Mooses was responsible for much of the the Old Testament rubbish.

I thought that he would have been too busy making his baskets and ringing the fire brigade to deal with his forays into arson ?

You also missed out the pathetic way the TV people get a bee in their collective bonnets and overdo a programme theme. Several evenings in the past week the BBC alone have broadcast three cookery programmes. I am sick and tired of being tuned in to HD TV and seeing trailers bestowing the virtues of HD. WE ALREADY KNOW HOW MUCH BETTER IT IS, THAT IS WHY WE ARE WATCHING IT .Heaven protect us when Strictly come prancing returns later in the year. It won't just be a Saturday night show, it will be on every night, plus another load of rubbish about it on the breakfast show. Let's also get rid of loud intrusive so called music that spoils otherwise good TV programmes. Let's get rid of the silly practise of sending TV reporters to stand outside number 10, or a hospital, or Scotland yard, or outside someones home etc.

My my, methinks Beryl is in a tetchy mood today, possibly got out of bed on the wrong side. Maybe I am wrong in thinking that the members are in the habit of posting to threads. :paperbag1: You could of course get the blue pencil out, or lock the thread to prevent more posts. :)

Just the same as the covert advertisers and spammers who crave some kind of reaction,- the easiest way is to give none to those who would spread negativity Keith.

The Windows Forum is somewhat rejuvenated with interesting posts, guides, and things lately. Heartening some may think ?

Computer Magazines & Forums are having a tough time in some particular areas.

It is completely negative to criticise those who are least making an effort even if some of the content is old and regurgitated.

You get out of life that which you put in. - You put nothing in you get nothing out.

Same old, Same old Artist.- Yawn !!!!

P.S My Mother-in Law died this weekend, so if my posts are a bit erratic it is because I am racing around doing funereal type things.

John.

I actually look in here everyday - not to moderate - Not something I ever really wanted - it seems about the same to me as it ever was.

Andsome's comments were contested on the other forum he frequents - he just gets away with his narrow views on here.

As for 'main man' - who ever told him he was......

Not many women on here I notice.

Having met John - I should point out the maneman's name is inspired by his long mane of hair - hence the spelling.

A number of us use a moniker that is based upon either our name, appearance, abilities or our interests.

Andsome, Artist, Maneman, Irene and Rong are typical examples

Ah, Alan, but you have that advantage over the rest of us in the case of MANEMAN.

You must admit that some of these 'handles' can be somewhat ambiguous.

For example: andsome could just as easily mean &some as handsome.

I too have met Maneman, he made us very welcome when we visited. He isn't as daft as you may think, 'Er indoors keeps him in check. In my case andsome definitely means exceedingly good looking, I just never did learn to spell properly.

My first name is Alan - and is spelled correctly

The first two characters of my family name are Ho - as you well know you cantankerous bugger.
