Hurdy
I may be in the minority here and I don't wish to sound like andsome an old moaner but Wimbledon bores the pants off me.
Robbers Dog
Wimbledon bores the pants off me.I agree, it's 2 weeks of saturation coverage from the BBC. It should not receive this amount of air time as it is only a minor sport. I would place it in the same category as synchronised swimming, they are both about the same for excitement value. artist
.........and me! It has to be one of the most boring sports - surpassed only by snooker and grand prix!We are a minority, I fear - so many people DO like the tennis! :(
expertec
I like snooker and tennis, but Grand Prix is boring!
Besty
I HATE WIMBLEDON AND ALL THOSE STUPID TENNIS COMPETITIONS. FIRST OF ALL WHEN THE SIMPSONS WAS ON IT TOOK OVER THAT. WHEN I WAS YOUNG IT TOOK OVER THE CARTOONS. AND THE NEWEST WAY THEY HAVE FOUND TO ANNOY ME IS TO TAKE NEIGHBOURS OFF THE AIR FOR A WEEK OH AND ANOTHER THING THERE IS NO TOP GEAR FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS BECAUSE OF THE BLOODY FOOTBALL. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :ranting: :wallbash:
Scarecrow Man
As long as it's not baseball, I'll watch. That is assuming I am doing nothing else, and have nothing else better to do. :D other than that, I'd rather watch water evaporate rather than baseball
-pops-
I am bored witless by all this sport and the worship of its "brave heroes" and similar terms - what a misnomer. What's brave or heroic about bashing the hell out of a ball, yourself or an opponent?
andsome
I enjoy Wimbledon, snooker, grand prix and Uncle Tom cobbley and all, but I don't like synchronised swimming.
Damo
Tennis IS boring to watch, but Formula 1 is brill, and I do like to watch snooker, but prefer to play it!

Gandalph
Wimbledon bores the pants off me.I agree, it's 2 weeks of saturation coverage from the BBC. It should not receive this amount of air time as it is only a minor sport. I would place it in the same category as synchronised swimming, they are both about the same for excitement value. That's exactly how I feel about football. :(
ranger
The saturation coverage the BBC give wimbledon is a disgrace, it's usually on both channels at the same time, taking out nearly half the terrestrial TV channels, at least with Euro 2004 it is usually just on the one channel and only for a couple of hours, not hours at a time every bl***y day, and no i'm not that keen on tennis, especially the mens, it's just all power, at least with the womans you have a chance to see some half decent rallies, although even that is beginning to change,
andsome
So many of you are complaining about sport, but this applies equally to all types of programmes. I myself get extremely irritated with the amount of 'soap opera, big brother type programmes, make over programmes, programmes of the Kilroy type etc'. I enjoy most sport, science fiction, wildlife, master mind, university challenge, newsnight, panorama, good films, etc. Those who don't like what I would call catering to the lowest tastes have to tolerate it, so come on sports haters tolerate it for a little longer, then you can have your rubbish back. artist
I totally agree Andsome! Those 'fly on the wall' things are awful! Cheap for the tv prog makers - no doubt. My daughter loves them!!
