There may be some rain drops on the window showing, because the wind was too strong to open it!The squiggle in the middle distance is what is usually a meandering stream. VERY windy , I'm worried about the TV aerial which is whipping around.There is some good news though. We have a cedar wood conservatory... not sure how long the roof will take this gale. I personally find it quite disturbing. I am so glad that it did not happen during the night time. Everything always seems so much much during the hours of darkness. The flooding in my ealier photograph is begining to subside. Last Thursday...my mother's shed got completely turned over in a gust of wind, and it's no light thing. It took 4 of us to get it turned over again and lashed to a fence in case, and that was 3 days later...when the wind had finally abated! I don't think so, Storms like yesterdays are no respector of national boundaries. I read that Germany was badly hit with severl fatalities. If you mean more often than years ago, I eally don't know. Our worst storm was in 1987 which people called a hurricane, though it didn't technically qualify as one. It brought down our chimney through the roof though with other damage and I admit to thinking of that and being worried everytime we have strong winds.Today, though, is a lovely day.
