catgate
It looks to me as though this will be the end of you getting it all your own way. That hand looks as though it will eventually be able to pick up a wood and throw it at you! Gandalph
That picture is amazing considering the ones posted a couple of weeks ago. I hope she goes from strength to strength.

artist
That's a great result!I sent the other pictures to my sister who has a similar problem - though not quite as bad - I'll be sending that one too. It's good to see the progress of this type of surgery.

Gandalph
Absolutely amazing andsome considering what they where like back in June before the Operation. catgate
That's very good, for 'er in doors. Although it looks to me as though you're going to have to watch your step from now on. You could just get the odd frying pan bruise, if you step out of line, now she has got some grip back.

andsome
Looking good! .........and is the movement good too?The occupational therapist has been putting her through some intensive exercises, and the hand is getting stronger daily. This Tuesday most of the improvements were in double percentage figures. The dexterity is improving by leaps and bounds. Her grip is now eleven pounds, not high by normal standards yet, but improving all the time. She would recommend the operation to anyone in her predicament, and is looking forward to having the left hand done. The therapist has now discharged her as it is now up to her to carry on strengthening it herself. So much for the consultant insisting that any improvements would be merely cosmetic. The man is a pratt. She sends her thanks for all the good wishes. :D :D

andsome
Final result is that she can now write, sew, thread a needle, and knit. In fact she can do everything except punch me in case she damages the inserts.
