Do you Dunk

This is a very important question... and something that I really shouldn't be worrying about at this time of the morning, but I am.. so I'm asking.

Do you dunk?

If yes.... what is your favourite beverage to dunk into

What is your favourite dunking biscuit

Do you have a secret method to combat the fall off problem.... are you a secret dunker or are you quite happy to dunk in public.

I wonder if Keanu dunks!!

If I have a cup of tea handy I NEVER EVER eat a biscuit without dunking it. I will also dunk in coffee, but much prefer tea. I will dunk almost any biscuit, even when they are coated on one side with chocolate. My favourite is digestive biscuits. Regarding fall off, it is a matter of knowing your biscuit, some are more fall off resistant than others. I don't give a damn who is watching, it is MY biscuit and I'll dunk if I want to. It's the same in a restaurant, if I have chops or a chicken leg, I will pick it up and make the most of every single portion of meat. Who the hell is keanu, or don't I really want to know?

Yes, I dunk - as andsome, I will attempt to dunk any biscuit but, in public, I only dunk reliable ones like Rich Tea or Digestives. Afraid, though, that my days of Digestive biscuit eating are over as all brands I've come accross contain some milk product or other and so are proscribed for me.

I should point out that even different brands of ostensibly the same biscuit vary in their dunking behaviour. Tesco Rich Tea seem the most reliable for not disintregrating.

I always break the biscuit in half before dunking. As well as being easier to fit in the cup, the pressure of the break reveals any hidden stresses in the biscuit so it breaks in more than one place, thus saving embarrassment of a large piece of biscuit disappearing to the bottom of the cup but then, I suppose that's what spoons are for. :)

Yep! every time. Like -pops- I break the larger round biscuits in half before the dunk. I like the half covered chocolate digestive and the malt ones. :) As for breaking up in the cup, not for many years now as I have managed to learn the ancient art of dunking without dissolving! :ninja:

Yes, I will dunk almost anything but my favorites are Rich Tea, Digestives, Kit Kat, Ginger Nuts, Scottish Shortbread, well, just about anything. According to Bob Vila, he's an American DIY Programme host, "Britain is a nation of Dunker's".

For dunking give me a doughnut from Dunk'n Doughnuts & a mug of Taster's Choice coffee.  Biscuits are something eaten in the U.S. southern states for breakfast. They don't dunk. They cover them with Red Eye gravy & serve with a side of Grits. Yuck!!!!

Ed.

Hello Ed, I think we are talking afternoon Tea and Biscuits here. Gravy goes on Yorkshire Pudding, but that's another story. ;)
