trackrat Posted April 17, 2005 Report Share Posted April 17, 2005 Have tried Pentium and AMD.I have found that AMD are as good if not better processors (at this time) than Pentium, when it comes to value for money they are cheaper and they also use less power than Pentium.Out of interest wng_z3r0 why did you chose AMD?. It didn't burn out - it was faulty but the fault caused, shall we say, distress to other components such that the M/B was replaced.All my other machines have used AMD. They have proved utterly reliable and I am familiar with them now. Wouldn't think of using any other brand.* I qualify the term to exclude all the pre-IBM type machines I used in research many moons ago.
