And me. Also andsome is around somewhere, and Pat Willener is probably in the library. I think I saw Irene going into the kitchen and Watchful just went out to prune the roses. Artist is in her studio and -pops- is in his potting shed I think.

Extremely well observed, Dencandy.

Time in the potting shed is long gone for me, I'm sad to say.

I pay one of the neighbour's sons to keep the garden in order for me these days.

I think if I bent down to pull a weed out, I'd never stand up straight again.

I'm still around. Been trying to get back into a fittter state than before by getting out on the bike. Gave up the running due to the bout of pneumonia I had - really knocked the stuffing out of me, took months to get over it. Tried to do a bit of running but the realised that Tempus Fugit had occurred so laid low. I've now got an enormous gut which is causing difficulty with shoe laces. In addition the garden needs a serious coat of looking at!

I have just got up to strech my legs and have a good swill down. I have been in bed since Friday trying to encourage this bloody thing to heal up.

The left ankle burst forth last September, after the Robin Hoods Bay expedition, and as that healed the right one started to feel the effect of having to take on more of the work of propulsion, and it started to sulk. As the left one had almost healed the right one gave in, and since just before Christmas I have been fairly well imobilised. It is relatively comfortable when horizontal, but vertically it is a different matter altogether, even with "electric" stockings. Then it feels as though a red hot wire brush being pressed into my leg.

That looks really nasty catgate. What did the Doctor prescribe for it. My Father-in-law had something similar on the right calf and it took about three years before it cleared up. Ointments, dressings and all the rest of the carry on.

Pleased everybody is here though. I was starting to wonder if everyone had been abducted by Aliens.

I thought paypal were supposed to be trustworthy
To be fair to Paypal, they've responded fairly well and had already put a stop on the payment as it looked unauthorized. My main gripes are :-

1) It getting through their security in the first place. No way could they know my additional authorization number.

2) How come they put a stop on it after they billed my credit card company, then fail to tell them there's a problem ?

If any attempt had been made of my abduction, you would have heard my yells up there in Geordie-land.

......How could I possibly leave you.

He gave me some antibiotic cream. The only real healing come from within rather than without. The antibiotic is to kill the little gobblethripes and bacterimoles that arrive and prevent that healing...if there is any there. I find a homeopathic remedy called Hamamelis (Whitch Hazel) is as good as anything. But, as you can see, not a world stunning success even so.

That looks nasty, hope it heals up soon. I am in the wars too. I dislocated my left knee about fifteen years ago, and it has just started to play me up badly. I have an appointment this evening at the local hospital for possible referral for a replacement joint. To cap it all, last Thursday I suffered some mild but disturbing symptoms while in Lichfield. I saw a specialist yesterday and it seems that I may possibly have had a mini stroke. I have been forbidden to drive until I have had a precautionary scan, and have been put on aspirin meantime. It means taxis for the time being as 'Er indoors cannot drive one handed. It never rains but it pours. This week ends shopping will have to be ordered on line and delivered by Sainsbury's. :D

Oh dear, you certainly are in the wars! :(

I'm sure you'll take the greatest of care until you know the outcome. :flowers:

What upsets me most is that I have been elected as captain of the Sunday morning bowls team. It looks very likely that with my knee as it is I will be a non playing captain.
