All I do know is that I will be taking extreme care to ensure that nothing untoward happens to obstruct the next operation on my other eye, which will happen in due course.As usual, tomorrow, I will be persuing my self-employed activity and tackling the tax year-end. At least that keeps my mind off the ensuing procedure the next day.I suppose that all I am saying is that I am not at all sure if I will be able to persue my PC activities after the operation scheduled for 2:30pm on Tuesday. :0 So, I will say a brief adieu for the time being. It's just the thought of the procedure that's a bit nerve racking. I just had a telephone call from the hospital asking me to go in for 1pm instead of 2:30pm. I ask because an uncle of ours had his cataracts done recently (with local) and he said it was 'marvelous what they did'. He now has excellent vision in both eyes and only uses a mild lens for driving. Before this he had "jam jar bottoms" that had to be made in Germany and sent over and as a child he went to blind school. I had some serious worries earlier today, but the Surgeon saw me this evening at about 7:30pm to check me out.He thought that nothing untoward had happened. My vision is very limited, so if there are any glaring errors, just overlook them. If anyone out there can tell me how long it takes for distance vision to develop, I would be grateful to hear from you. My understanding was that I would not required specs (other than readers) after the op. I know it's only a few days, but it has a long, long way to go for distance correction!
